It displays the boys checking out a girl like a piece of meat. This relates to rebellion because of teenagers before the fifties had manners and took life seriously and not playfully. “gentlemen”. They were suppose to take life more seriously because teenage boys were either sent to join the military or to get a job to support the family. Women in the other hand were taught how to raise their family when they become a mother. Teeangers before the 1950s were taken more seriosuly than the teenagers in the 1950’s.
