Cheddar Corn Puffs Research

My go to snack, no matter if I’m studying or just watching TV, is Cheddar Corn Puffs. They are so satisfying and delicious, but I do know they are far from good for my nutrition. The question is though, am I harming my body more than I think by consuming this snack, let’s find out! The ingredients in order from most abundant to least in cheddar corn puffs are corn meal, vegetable oil, whey, maltodextrin, reduced lactose whey, cheese [cheddar and blue (cultured milk, salt, enzymes)], canola oil, salt, disodium phosphate, citric acid, lactic acid, and artificial colors.
Now that the ingredients are listed let’s go more in depth on some of them. Maltodextrin is a food additive, is has some interesting side effects when consumed such as, unexplained
