Firstly in this document, in the amendment it states and I quote “No person shall be elected into office more than twice”. In this part of the amendment it is saying that there has to be a limit of how long a president is in office due to them being able to become a dictator. The next quote from document 3 is, “...no person who has held the office of the president or acted as president, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected president shall be elected to the office of the president more than once.”. Specifically, the texts states, “...President in every possible instance shall consult with Congress before introducing United States Armed Forces into hostilities or situations where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicated”. Hence, this aids that the President cannot send out the United States Armed Forces into war without advising and acknowledging Congress first. Subsequently, the text discloses, “...President shall terminate any use of United States Armed Forces unless Congress has declared war or has enacted a specific authorization”. This quote from the text suggest that, the President can’t stop the use of United States Armed Forces unless Congress has declared War or has made a law giving permission to use the United States Armed Forces.
In document 2 it concluded that checks and balances is not a limited and unfair. For instance, the political cartoon shows that, the Legislative branch has more responsibilities represented as football players. It also portrays that the Executive branch is being overruled by the Legislative branch and is “out numbered”.
