If the teacher or professor catches you cheating, no doubt the teacher will give that student a low grade on a test or paper. Many teachers have given students low grades because of cheating. One example I can relate to this situation. During my third year of high school, I was ready for my U.S. History test. I knew all the answers to the teacher’s multiple choice. However, he would make us write a five-paragraph essay that would be on the test. I knew it was worth a lot of points, and I did not want to risk receiving a low grade. On the day of the test, I took a little piece of paper to guide me through the essay. During the test, I had it covered with my head down as if I were writing with my head down. Unfortunately, I picked my head up for a few seconds while the teacher was standing two feet away from me. Once the teacher caught me, I had no idea what could happen. I told the teacher how bad I felt for cheating on the test throughout the day. So, he decides to give me a low grade, rather than telling our Dean of Discipline. I was disappointed, but yet relieved, knowing that I caught a break, but received a low grade. Ever since then, I would not afford to cheat again. Low grades will not look good and for those who are already receiving them, especially for those who are at the top of their class. Cheating is not worth to what our future careers may
