Chauncey excelled with the first writing assignment in my class. She initially expressed that she had little experience writing memos and arranged to meet with myself and Cindy Rasor at the Writing Workshop to better understand graduate school writing expectations. More importantly, Chauncey made a point of drafting her memo early enough to receive feedback. This kind of attention and motivation bodes well for her success in graduate school.
