My big home project was accomplished at Chase High School instead of it being completed at my home. Mrs. Kraus provided me and a fellow student ( Ashlyn Cox) the opportunity to clean the concession stand in the gymnasium so it would be clean for the Prom. We cleansed the concession stand with Oxygen Orange which is an all purpose cleaner and can clean almost anything. Prior to heading to the location we gathered four wash rags and we each had our own bottle of Oxygen Orange. When we arrived to the concession stand it was an absolute mess. There were chairs everywhere, laid out tables, dust on the counters, and even dried up sauces on the countertops. We began to think and we concluded that the best place to begin is with the countertops. We …show more content…
The bottom of the refrigerator was covered completely in this white flaky substance. We began scrubbing like our life depended on it and thankfully it all came out and we then set out to start washing the doors which were surprisingly not too dirty. As we finished that I set into motion sweeping the filthy floor. Before we finished completely we moved thing around such as the chairs, we put them under the wooden tables and as for the tables we folded them up and put them in between the refrigerator and the wall, and checked one last time to make sure there were no finger prints or anything unwashed. When we were finished we were so delighted with ourselves and we hoped we made Mrs.Kraus joyful. I believe many things went well with my project such. I also believe the only problem I had was with the smell of the bleach, before we opened the door I felt like I was suffocating. This project effected my school and its fellow student body in a positive way. If we hadn’t cleaned the concession stand it would have been filthy and disgusting for Prom and it could have led to someone becoming sick. I personally believe we did an amazing job and no one else could have executed it better. I currently have a job cleaning houses and condos in Lake Lure so I used my work experience to get this job done and it made it very simply for me to complete. This

My project consisted of attending a worship service different than that my own. I chose to follow a friend to a non-denominational sect of religion at a local church called, Iglesia Cristiana Misericordia in Laredo, Texas. One of the workers that was helping out too told us how they go every day and try to maintain the trail and the center itself. His word caught my attention because it was hot and sunny, yet they were there cleaning and working hard.…

Our group chose this project because we wanted to come up with a way to show respect. The class chose 2 different things to do one of them was go play games with the kids at Woodside or go to a nursing home. I chose to go to a nursing home and play some games with the elderly. This project is important to me because I feel whoever you are or whether or not you’re living just on your own in your old age or you’re in a retirement home you still need something happy in your life. I’m sure it gets pretty boring being in the same place all the time so I would think it's probably really uplifting when kids come in to see you and play games with you.…
