Motivation of Charzapped’s Target Customer

It is important to understand what drives a customer to purchase in order to effectively tailor and market ones product or service. The motivation behind purchasing a solar powered charger would be to keep phones powered conveniently using sunlight while in the outdoors to keep in touch with family for safety reasons (emotional) and use GPS (logical) especially hikers. Also, our low price of $19.95 will be another reason that customers gravitate toward our product.

3. External Forces Influencing Charzapped’s Potential Customers

Because our solar-powered charger is not a large or costly purchase, the customer is likely to be the only person involved in the buying process. There is no risk associated with purchasing this product. However, the need to stay in constant contact with their friends and family while on expeditions will push our customers to purchase. As stated by Researchnester, “The portable solar charger market is expected to expand at a CAGR of 13.2% during the forecast period of 2017-2023” (2017).
