Charlie Personal Narrative

Improved Essays
Charlie and I met at school. We met in 6th grade, in our English class, this was when Charlie was actually engaged in his education. We talked to each other every single day. As I stayed in the front row seat Charlie, however, wanted to join the fantasizers at the back. Although Charlie started making some new friends , we still talked to each other after school. We shared the craziest stories and the funniest jokes to each other. Charlie wasn't the typical guy you would find, he wasn't interested in girls or himself instead, he was interested in taking care of his family.

As we were walking home together, Charlie invited me over to his place. The last time I remember visiting his home was just over a year ago in 8th grade.

There's not much i remember from when i was young, But i remember meeting a guy named Drewe when i was 10 or 11, He was tall for his age with short brown hair and Hazel eyes. He sat next to me and he was pretty funny so we quickly became friends, as we got to know each other better we realized we liked pretty much the exact same things and got along very well. We lived fairly close to each other so we spent a lot of time back and forth between houses. After my mom got divorced we moved out of Alaska, where I was born, and lived in a lot of different places and states, most of them I am too young to remember, and moving in with my aunt and various other family members. Finally we moved to Ohio when I was in 5th grade and set up a permite home, where I meet my 3 best friends. I was hesitant to get attached but they were such characters that there was no way I couldn’t. Zero was the first people I meet and the first time I saw him he was crawling into my window while I was crying, after being yelled at by some horribly rude people at my school, and just announced that I shouldn’t listen to those meanies and we watched movies and shows the rest of the night, to this day I have no idea why he went through the window and didn 't just introduce himself through the front door, and we were friends ever since. The next was Derek who I meet when he got all beaten up and bloody kicking the crap out of bullies that were making fun of me.…

I was 13 going into the seventh grade and My summer vacation days were lingering to a close in late July of the sunny and quiet Webster Groves. The days were long and hot, my friends and I would roam our neighborhoods and country club always looking for fun stuff to do, especially looking for trouble. My mother creeped in my room, thinking I was still asleep but I could here every crack with her footsteps on my maplewood floor.…

It is strange when people tell you that mental illnesses are not real. They say “it is all in your head,” and to “stop overreacting because it is not real.” Personally, I think that mental illnesses change you as a person, especially if you can get over the illness. My cousin, Caitlin, was diagnosed with bipolar depression and struggled greatly to get over it, but when she did her whole life changed. Caitlin’s bipolar depression affected me infinitely because from being my mother’s flower girl when she was young, to playing with me when I was bored at family events, when she probably did not want to, she holds a special spot in my family and mine’s heart.…
