Recently Paris has experienced many terrorist attacks, however, some that stand out above the rest are the Charlie Hebdo Attacks. The Charlie Hebdo attacks were a series of attacks committed by two brothers, Saïd and Chérif Kouachi. These attacks have had a long lasting effect on France’s people and government. The Charlie Hebdo attacks were a series of attacks committed throughout the course of three days, starting with a massacre at the Charlie Hebdo comics headquarters on Wednesday January 7, of 2015. These attacks were the result of the comic “Charlie Hebdo” writing lies about muslims in their comics. These lies angered many and Saïd and Chérif Kouachi decided to do something about it. On the first day, the two brothers attacked the Charlie Hebdo office. The next day, on January eighth, a policewomen was shot. Later that day, the fugitives robbed a service station, which was a major breakthrough in the hunt. On the final day, the two brothers were shot at 17:00 local time by police forces but later that day citizens were taken as hostages in return for the Kouachi brothers freedom but the main gunmen was later killed. Charlie Hebdo is a satirical comic that uses Muhammad in their comics and this was seen as offensive to the muslim community leading to the Charlie Hebdo attacks. Also, many citizens have come to the conclusion that the initial attack on the Charlie Hebdo office and the death of the policewomen were connected which was later proved by authorities to be correct. Finally, the non-muslim community believe that the attackers were wrong to commit these terrorist attacks, and that killing and holding citizens hostage is not the answer to solving these
