Strangely, Maddie didn't move, she just looked at us and whined. A very loud whine, almost as if she was begging. Begging for what, for us not to move? It was almost like she didn't want us to leave. I was scared for a minute, Daddy used to say that dogs could sense things. But what could she sense that Mommy couldn't? It looked like she was worried that we wouldn't come back. Of course we're coming back, we've made this trip plenty of times. Why wouldn't we come back? We were only going to the hill to see the headstone that specified were Daddy was. She slowly got out of the car, annoyed she had to deal with this dog again. Maddie bounded about as she saw Mom climb out of the vehicle and hastily made her way to the dog down the impeccable tar driveway. We had a gardener who came and kept the grass trimmed and the flowers that weaved around the curves of the long driveway watered. Shortly Mom was back in the car, soaked, fatigued, and annoyed. I found entertainment from the raindrops that raced down the window and silently cheered when I guessed the right one that would win. We were almost to were Daddy was when Mommy
