Charlie Chu Monologue

"Charlie Chu-Chu! Come on honey, we need to leave." I giggled as Mommy said my nickname: "Chu-Chu". I was in playing with my toy train in my room. She wanted to go visit Daddy today, and I was going with her. I was happy because I had gotten dressed all by myself. Mommy said I had to dress nicely, so I am wearing jeans and a dress shirt. As usual, my curly hair was unkempt, but I liked it that way. I was getting to be a big boy now, and before Daddy left, he said I was the man of the house. Or that's what I think he said, I was only two at the time, but I still remembered even though it had been a year. I don't remember much of Daddy, he is like a green blob, but with a face of course, and the green was different shades and sizes. "Roar!" …show more content…
Strangely, Maddie didn't move, she just looked at us and whined. A very loud whine, almost as if she was begging. Begging for what, for us not to move? It was almost like she didn't want us to leave. I was scared for a minute, Daddy used to say that dogs could sense things. But what could she sense that Mommy couldn't? It looked like she was worried that we wouldn't come back. Of course we're coming back, we've made this trip plenty of times. Why wouldn't we come back? We were only going to the hill to see the headstone that specified were Daddy was. I guess we should have expected this, Maddie always acted strange when we went to visit Daddy, and when we came back. She acted like she saw someone no one else did. Like barking at dark corners, or growling at doors. Maybe she actually did see someone. Eventually Mommy got Maddie away and we continued on our trek to the car. I sulked as she set me down. Quickly she ran off to the kitchen to grab the keys. I decided to be a good boy and take myself out to the car. But before I could even cross the living room Maddie came and stood in front of me. I tried to move around, but she pushed slightly, not enough to hurt me of course. I tried to climb onto the couch, but my attempt was fruitless. I was far too short and weak to pull myself up. I pondered on whether or not I should walk across the low glass table Mom kept in the living room, but decided against it, memories of lectures flooding …show more content…
I cried out as I bit my lip from the shock of the thunder. Even though I liked the rain, the sound of thunder scares me. I shrieked again, but from the joyous surprise of Maddie bounding out the door. I soon stopped as I heard Mommy huff from frustration. She slowly got out of the car, annoyed she had to deal with this dog again. Maddie bounded about as she saw Mom climb out of the vehicle and hastily made her way to the dog down the impeccable tar driveway. We had a gardener who came and kept the grass trimmed and the flowers that weaved around the curves of the long driveway watered. Shortly Mom was back in the car, soaked, fatigued, and annoyed. I found entertainment from the raindrops that raced down the window and silently cheered when I guessed the right one that would win. We were almost to were Daddy was when Mommy

These are my thoughts and feelings on pages one through five. I feel sorry for Charlie Gordon because he doesn't understand what's going around him, and what people mean. Such as when he was doing the Rorschach test when they ask him what did he see in the cards. Charlie didn't understand what they meant and said spilled ink. But I also feel bad for him because you can tell he's trying really hard to pass the test so he can get the research done on him, so he can become smarter.…

It all began in the Fall of 2012, my dog, Wrinkles got sick and though she got sick a few times per year, but this seemed different. I never understood why her breed of dog had such a tendency of getting sick with what is currently known as “Shar-Pei fever,” but after a little bit of researcth I realized it was bound to happen to her, and any dog of the Shar-Pei breed we could have adopted after her. Veterinarians had no idea how to cure or even how to fight the disease, and at this point in her life, it meant certain death. Once I found this out, it felt as though my life was over. I still had hope that she would be cured and go back to the playful pup she was just months earlier.…

I stood on the balcony of the clock tower, breathing heavily. My front faced a small gathered crowd about fifty feet down, and to my back left, was Paul Richmond. I didn't understand him. Why wouldn't he let me die in peace? The school, the entire school, already wanted to see me dead.…

As I played my latest video games, sitting in my favorite bean bag chair, on a seemingly flawless day until I heard the holler of my Mother proclaiming that I needed to leave the house to accomplish something rewarding. Being the gracious child, that I indeed was. I departed hastily, just as most children would; if their mother grabbed them by the ear and flung them out the front door. I dusted myself off, grabbed my bike, and rode over to my friend Tom’s house to hang out. When I arrived, I had discovered that he had a babysitter watching after him.…

The woman in a white satin gown stringently clutched the yellow bony fingers of her child, suckling on a pumped breast milk that was three days past its expiration date. Chunks of coagulated milk had accumulated at the teat of the bottle, allowing only droplets of milk to pour out. The woman inadvertently cackled at a mere nothing; the cacophony of her laughter was that of a disturbing howl, amalgamated with an ominous tone that seemed to have drowned the Christian radio program blaring in the background. The woman cradled her child in a wooden bassinet. The baby was quick to fall asleep.…
