Sir Charlie Chaplin was a great actor and film producer during his time, and one of the all time greatest. Hannah and Charles Chaplin got married and had two kids. One was named Charlie and one named Sydney, Sydney was older than Charlie. [1]Charlie Chaplin was born in London, England, April 16th, 1889. He lived his life like a normal kid, but one day when he was ten tragedy struck. Charlie’s father straight up ditched them and provided no more support for the Chaplin family anymore. One day later during one of Hannah’s shows she lost her voice, and Charlie went up to take his Mom’s spot on stage. His voice shocked the crowd, they were all in awe at his marvelous voice. He thought that if he amazed the audience once, why can’t he do it again, so he started an acting career. [2] He debuted at his first show as one of the kids in a group of children called “The Eight Lancashire Lads.” Just like that it became a huge hit and everyone came to see this group of kids. Inspired by his Mom’s death he kept going on. Sydney went his way and there was a rift grew between them. Trying not to let himself get down Charlie kept going on and performed as a Paperboy in “Sherlock Holmes” at the the age of 12. The films they made together were as the following ‘The Kid,’ ‘The Gold Rush,’ ‘City Lights,’ and ‘Modern Times.’ All these films made him popular and the most successful movie star of his time. Some fans compared him to the great Buster Keaton, who was a famous silent comedian. He also made a ton more films during the 30’s. He also invented a new style of movie, which are silent movies.
