I read “Midnight for Charlie Bone”, by Jenny Nimmo. When I started reading the book right from the start, I liked it. Each chapter got more interesting, so I read on. This is what lead to me choosing this book for my book report.
The main character is Charlie Bone. The author, Jenny Nimmo, described Charlie Bone as endowed, and can hear voices from pictures. The author describes him as this because he was a descendant of the Red King.
This story takes place on November 2002. Most of all the action takes place at Bloor’s Academy, and at Charlie Bone’s house. Bloor’s Academy is the school that went to go to. Charlie Bone lived in house 9 on Filbert Street.
The main problem in this story is that Mrs.Ingledew, an owner of a bookshop, wanted to find her daughter. Her daughter named Emma Tolly, was the only part of her family left for her. This problem affected the characters in the story because Charlie Bone wanted to find Mrs.Ingledew’s daughter. He wanted to reunite them so they would both be happy again. …show more content…
Emma Tolly was hypnotized by Manfred Bloor, and was told by Charlie Bone that she was being hypnotized, and she snapped out of it. After that happened, Emma Tolly visited Mrs.Ingledew’s bookshop. She and Mrs.Ingledew looked at her medical records and birth certificates, and they were related. After they found out Mrs. Ingledew had a relative that actually lived, they had a celebration. Charlie Bone was invited to celebrate with them. Both Emma Tolly and Mrs.Ingledew made speeches about how happy they are that they had each
