Charles Lindbergh was an inventor, pilot and writer. He completed his first solo transatlantic flight in his plane in St. Louis. Lindbergh became involved with the Americans first organization which advocated that the united states stay neutral in the war in Europe. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Lindbergh began working with Henry Ford on bombers and acting as an advisor or test pilot for united aircraft. After the war he wrote several books including “Of Flight and Life” and “The Spirit of St. Louis” which won the 1954 Pulitzer prize for biography and autobiography.
