Charles Drew's Invention Of Banked Blood

Charles Drew (1904-1950) invented the “Banked Blood.” In which blood plasma is stored, rather than whole blood. During WWII, he was able to collect about 14,500 pints of blood plasma for “Blood For Britain” because of this he saved many people’s lives. This is important to society because blood plasma is able to be stored longer than whole blood. As well, because of his invention he has saved many lives.
