However, he is a senior instead of a junior. He is the best basketball player at his school and the National Basketball Association (NBA) scouts has been tracking his progress for two years. He is very popular at school, but also even with his popularity he is humble. He focuses a lot of his grades and bettering his basketball performance. He is aware that he is talented and intelligent, but he is also aware that there are people not as fortunate as him. One Friday night Derrick and his friends were at a party. The whole night he was having a conversation with Amy. Amy is a cheerleader at their school and also the host of the party. After a few hours Amy invited Derrick to her room. They both had not drank any alcohol or took any drugs. Amy and Derrick had consensual sex in her room. Everything was normal for Derrick until Monday morning when the police removed him from school. The told him he was being arrested for sexually assaulting Amy at her party Friday night. Derrick was extremely confused; all he could say was that he did not rape her.
