In Chapter 7 we learned about different theories of leadership. I believe that both of them are charismatic leaders. The book defines a charismatic leader as an “energetic transformational leader who are often considered heroes by the organization in their pursuit of a rosy vision for the future.” It goes without explanation that Winfrey is a charismatic leader, she is the epitome of a successful woman and leader. Sheet’s, as relatively infamous as she is, is a charismatic leader in her own. She has developed a multi million dollar franchise out of her living room. Only someone who has a rosy vision for the future would be able to lead others into her franchise.
Another commonality between the two of them is also a theory we learned about in Chapter 7. The reinforcement theory. Winfrey has been helping women and men with her positivity for the past 4 decades. She uses positive words and actions to impact the

Lastly, these ladies have contributed so much to society and helped in an innumerable amount of ways. Previously I have mentioned the different ways that they have given generously to organizations and charities. I firmly believe that once you have been successful it is your job to then give back. These women have given back to their communities and others more than enough.
In conclusion, it is important to remember that both of these women did not come from wealthy families. What they had they made for themselves. They defied odds and stood up for what they knew was right. They built their companies from the ground up and accepted no hand-outs. They are the epitome of hard work and the American dream. They are a true inspiration to myself and many other women aspiring to make a name for themselves in the business
