Chariot is a San Francisco based company that provides private shuttles in rush hours between Bart stops and downtown workplaces. Its only customer segment is the city worker.

San Francisco downtown workers commute between home and workplace everyday. Common transportations they take include Bart, Muni, bus, and Caltrain. However, sometimes they take Uber or taxi in emergency. Commuters need an easy and reliable solution for their daily transportation. They have functional jobs like showing up in workplace in time, looking clean and energetic, paying a reasonable price for transportation, and spending as less time as possible on the way. Chariots arrive every several minutes and boast of a 95% on-time performance. It has an app for both iPhone and Android. Commuters can reserve a seat, check schedule, live-track its van, buy tickets, and communicate with its drivers thru this app. It has four types of ticket. The more rides one buys, the cheaper per ride. Commuters can pay even less with pre-tax dollars using pre- paid transit card, Commuter Check voucher, or WageWorks account.
Pain Relievers
Chariot has taken away the commuting miseries. Commuters don’t have to get up too early because Chariots are quicker and on time. No more endlessly waiting in bus stops. No more being packed like sardines in the crowded Muni. No long walks between Bart and offices any more. Therefore, commuters are more energetic in work and they have more personal time. In terms of emotional benefits, Chariot brightens commuters’ day. No more resentments for missing morning meetings. No more rages for the unpredictable next bus. No more frustrations for being late for children’s birthday party. No more worries of strong weed scent from the next person next in late buses.
