Charging Bull Symbols

For this assignment the symbol I chose as my signifier is the Charging Bull on Wall Street. The bronze bull has a history in New York’s lower Manhattan, as it became a well-known icon and tourist attractor in New York City starting back in the 80s. Being placed on Wall Street the Charging Bull is believed to bring good luck to the New York’s stock exchange. The Charging Bull in New York City, depending on the context and culture can signify power of American people or New York’s stock exchange. As the signifier being the bronze charging bull on Wall Street, one of the signified meanings resembles the power of American people. Through the result of American culture, New York City is the melting pot and place where any one from any place
