“The Outsiders” by S.E Hinton is an amazing novel with many different multi-dimensional characters.The characters in the book have many different qualities that are worth noting.The Greasers are a group of boys who have a bad reputation and people think their bad but they are really nice boys.Each character has his own traits such as actions,personality,and family background.Many of the characters are not bad people if you get to know them such as ponyboy.

Ponyboy is fourteen,he is our narrator, and has a lot to say about himself and his world. Telling his story becomes a way for Pony to deal with the generous portions of grief that keep coming his way. When we meet Pony, both of his parents have already died in a car accident and he's being raised by his brothers Darry and Sodapop.For Pony to be fourteen has seen a ton for his age and done a lot for his age.For example he has seen what the socs have done to his friend Johnny and has stabbed and killed a guy. …show more content…
Johnny can stay away from home for long periods of time and nobody seems to care or notice.To make things even worse, Johnny was brutally beaten by the Socs last spring and now lives in a constant state of fear.To add to that once in the novel Johnny told Pony that he was going to kill
