The loyalty towards their significant ones extended to the service for the country. Molly Pitcher was loyal to her husband who was part of the Revolutionary War so she got into the war and took over her husband’s job. “The story of Molly Pitcher shares much in common with that of Margaret Corbin, who fired the cannons during the Battle of Fort Washington following the death of her husband.” (Coletta) Mary Katherine Goddard also showed loyalty towards her loved one.
