Characters In Bullyville

The book that I read was Bullyville by Francine Prose and I would not want to be the main character in this book. First of all the book is names Bullyville for a reason and is it to be taken seriously. One reason is that during the book the main character Bart get shoved into a locker by his "big brother" Tyro who constantly bully's him everyday. Another reason is that Bart's dad has passed away in the 9/11, even though that is really bad it still gets worse people send fake text messages to him saying "Bart I love you I am burning up" which causes him to go into the bathroom and cry. Lastly I would not want to be the main character in this book is because he losses everything, for example before he losses his dad his dad falls in love with

His mother wants him to forget about baseball and attend school in LA, but Bull knows what’s best for him and he thinks that his calling is baseball. The character I chose to introduce to you is Ben because he is the main character in the book. In the book, Ben goes through many changes and faces many obstacles and situations. Ben moved to Edenboro, Massachusetts from Tucson, Arizona four months before the book takes place and doesn’t like it there, but he slowly begins to think of Edenboro as his home. He finds animals very interesting. Ben is also a kind and friendly person because it states on page 175 to 176 that Ben screams at Frankie to leave Ryan alone and goes to Ryan’s birthday party instead of working on his report since Agatha told him that he and Jenny were Ryan’s only friends.…

Like Alexie, I agree kids who read books about hardships they’ve faced in their own lives can teach them how to deal with the event. When I was in third grade there was a boy named jonah who would bully me every time we had recess. He would continuously call me fat and say my eyebrows were too big. Being the shy girl I was, I never knew what to do about the situation. Jonah continued to bully me and I was not sure what to do about it.…

The documentary, Bully, follows five children, from elementary school to high school, and offers an intimate viewpoint on the topic of bullying, and how it affects young children and their families. My overall reaction to this documentary was an initial feeling of sadness. Sadness for the children who have been affected by bullying in the documentary, and sadness for all of those who have been affected by bullying in their lives. This feeling soon turned into a concoction of disappointment, anger, and overall confusion. Disappointment and anger in the fact that children in today’s society feel the need to verbally and physically attack others, and disappointment in the way that bullying is handled by teachers, parents, and administration.…

I think the book, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid Double down”, written by Jeff Kinney, was an awesome book. The book is about a young kid, like me, who is just learning his common sense and his moral ethics. The book was very entertaining to read as it gives the perspective of a young boy, Greg Heffley, of his not-so-ordinary life. People may think he’s ordinary, but when you get into his everyday life, it gets weird. He has an older brother, which I can relate to, and he’s always trying to get out of work, no matter what.…
