In today’s society we are always told to read the book before we watch a movie, because sometimes there can be a difference in characters which can possibly change the way we first thought the movie was gonna be like, such as Beowulf and Grendel (Gunnarsson). When you read the book you are able to get all the details from the story and paint a picture in your head. This helps you get a better understanding of what is occurring in the movie as you are watching it for the first time. The movie tends to leave a lot of details out because of the time constriction. If a movie would contain all the details in the original story the movie would be too long. Because of this the directors and writers of movies are forced to only record the most important scenes, just enough to be able to connect the storyline.
