Regardless of whatever experiences people have gained in life, a way of leadership theory and a leader are viewed in educational setting totally depends on the individual. Moreover, Bolden, R., Gosling, J., Marturano, A., and Dennison, P. (June, 2003) have pointed out that majority of evolutions of leadership theory have shifted for decades from a theory of "Great Man" to "Transformational" theory. A study of leadership theory was and is always an interesting topic and it has attracted many philosophers and researchers to involve in seeking the importance of personal abilities and characteristics of a leader in educational leadership today. A detail of description of key personal abilities and characteristics of a leader in educational setting will be provided as follows. To begin with, there are three types of leadership possessing a number of crucial personal abilities and characteristics which are considered to be beneficial to education. The initial model is called servant leadership, and it focuses on the duty of leaders to serve their followers, hence it comes about an intention to serve followers rather than lead them.
