Characterizing Atticus Finch

I am reading To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. In this journal, I will be characterizing Atticus.

In these chapters I will be characterizing Atticus. Atticus seems to be Hoary or old. Atticus is the best checker player in town. This shows that Jem and Scout are not impressed with their father, because he does not do things that they are interested in. He cannot do most of the activities with them. Even though Jem and Scout love their father, they think that he does not do the same things as the other fathers. This shows that he is older aged and does not mess around or play with the kids.
