Characterization is the process authors use to develop characters and create images of the characters. An example of Characterization being displayed really well is in the book Change in Things Fall Apart. The author Charles Darwin characterizes the main character Okonkwo as an angry powerful individual who is unable to change to his villages new culture. Another book the shows Charaization really well through a character is Animal Farm by George Orwell. The Character that shows a strong characterization is Napoleon. Napoleon is a character is an animal on the farm who wants to control every animal on the farm and make a communist community. The reason why these books deminstaight such good characterization are because when you read the book a good image of the character comes to your head. …show more content…
The power that he craved was to control all the animals on the farm. He also wants to make it so the animals have no rights and say in anything that he does. There was one person standing in his way from achieving this goal. The person standing in his way was Snowball. At this time Snowball was the leader on the farm and believed in an equal and fair community. One day snowball got blamed for something horrible and that caused him to be kicked out of the farm. Napoleon saw this as his time to rise to power and make this farm a communist community. That is exactly what he did, he made the animals work hard labor. If the animals did not obey his orders that would be seriously punished and the dogs would come for them. This tret made the animals scared to speak out and fight against him. Napoleon took a great farm and turned it into a communist and a dictator ruled
