When Biff was in high school, he was a charming football star who had scholarships to universities. But Biff failed math and could not graduated because he did not have enough credits. He could have gone to summer school, but did not after he found his dad cheating made him go crazy. He got into the habit of stealing which made it hard for him to keep a job. He is the opposite of Willy he does not want the American dream that Willy wants. Biff wants to work out west and farm, and he does not want to resolve his issue with his father. On the other hand, Willy admires Biff, he showed him more attention than he did Happy. But Willy parenting skill and actions resulted in the blamed of Biff downfall.
Happy Loman is Willy and Linda second son. Happy resembles Willy because they both want to get rich quick and have the American Dream. But Happy fails to reach Will expectations and Willy does not pay much attention to him. Throughout the story Happy mentions he lost weight and he is going to get married, but Willy ignores him.
