The traditional family system of Tiwas generally follows joint family system. A Tiwa family is highly structured and behaviours of each member are pre determined and expected to perform accordingly. Therefore they are ruled and guided. A family is not just a household under a head consisting of some countable members related to each other through blood or marriage. Tiwas consider the whole clan as a family. A traditional Tiwa society is organized according to the system of clan in a highly complex yet systematic way. Thus if prosperity stands in one point of the binary, then sacrifice will represent the other. In the line of binary, sacrifice stands in one point and prosperity stands on the other. So belief is there that if god receives the sacrifice then they will be blessed with prosperity. Thus transformation of a profane being into sacred being is vital in the whole process. A religious position is always considered higher than any normal position. A faith is rested in minds of the folks that if an object is uplifted to the divine position people hardly question the reason behind and the sacrifice can be easily performed.
