What is every man’s dream? To be the perfect man in a woman’s eye. The problem with becoming the perfect man is that no man truly knows the qualities that makes the “ideal man.” Every guy has his own attributes, both good and bad; some guys are athletic, others are smart, and still others are funny. But the real question is what traits in guys are the “eye-catchers” in the eyes of teenage girls. Understanding these traits of the ideal man can help guide a man to reach perfection in the eyes of a woman. For one thing, a guy needs to know where to start in his search for the qualities of the ideal man. It is essential for a guy to first understand the unique characteristics of each individual girl. For relationships to work one needs to tell his story while another listens, and then he or she listens to their friend. A guy can’t be afraid to do something wrong or fail. He needs to stand by his decisions. The most frustrating thing about guys is, “When they do not tell you how they feel right away, they either try to hide things or are too embarrassed to tell you” states Sarah Wilcox. Girls want a guy who is not afraid. If a guy is willing to just put his feelings on the line and tell a girl how he feels he will be surprised to find out that more often than not, a girl he likes and has spent a lot of time with might like him as …show more content…
Meaning that a girl runs her personal checklist through her head on how close a guy is to her ideal man. If a guy can be all of the things above, but also do activities like charity, tutoring, or other miscellaneous activities that show one’s compassion and care for others goes a long way. In the stories, A Good Man Is Hard to Find, and Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?, both stories relate to each other through a common theme of evil not seeming as bad as it really is. As part of an old high school tradition, hundreds of students crowded into a dimly lit cafeteria and danced until the air hung heavy and sweat glistened off every square inch of exposed skin. The schools that began the tradition of the modern homecoming dance most likely did not expect it to evolve into what it is today; at some point, we, as students, lost the true purpose of the event and instead became preoccupied with image. Even though I would have liked to think that those things did not matter, I still found myself altering my appearance that Saturday night to try and show off the best version of myself. I was not alone; other females joined me amidst a pile of cosmetic products and styling tools, and we had the pictures to showcase…

They are expected to wear makeup, but not too much cause then you look “slutty.” Females are supposed to be sexy, but not too much because then you are “asking for it.” Also, women are expected to be kind, nurturing, emotional, passive, quiet, dependent, submissive, and weak (the man needs to save the woman). A major theme of Flannery O 'Connor 's “A Good Man Is Hard To Find” is what makes a person good. There is no clear answer, neither in the text nor in life. It is safe to say that a good person can be defined as one that is honest, kind, and always tries to do what is right. It is ironic then, maybe even a bit hypocritical, that the Grandmother is one of the most immoral characters in the story and yet she spends much of her time talking about what makes people good, judging others based on little to no information about them, and trying to convince the Misfit, a serial killer that just murdered her family, of his own goodness.…
