Know your game, know your tools and know your team. In the rural areas, the game is different. The hospital is often viewed as their own by the community. Although, the leader may be able to make the changes, it is the community that has to accept the changes, and hence it is very important to know the game. In the rural area, as a new leader, it was important to find like-minded people from the team or even the entire community. Like-minded people formed a team within a team. Each person had his own little circle and when all like-minded people got together, the circle widened quickly and then change was easy to manage.
