Since the correlation was also discovered between years in school. It is clear that social dominance plays a causal role on one’s social introversion-extroversion. If this is case, that social introversion is not an innate personality trait nor a result of past experience, but of a reflection of one’s current social dominance, then a variety of characteristics of social introversion can be easily explained, such as why introverts appear more extroverted among people they are familiar with, social extroversion has been correlated with happiness by the public. However, not just participants of more dominant social classes scored lower (more extroverted) but also scored with wider ranges, that is, according to the test, they were more introverted than the introverts from dominated social classes. This kind of social introversion is not the same kind as the one caused solely by belonging to non-dominant social classes. And it is unjust to infer that they experience inferior social roles because they are introverts. Social status has an influence on one’s appearance on the introversion-extroversion scale, but it is not the only causal factor. This adds a layer of mist on the understanding of true social introversion. Proving the existence of this layer is the success of this study, for it question the current …show more content…
Also, our assessment fulfilled the aim by proving a more objective point of view regarding introversion. As a result of that, test takers feel more comfortable in being honest when answering test question, thus giving us more accurate results. Also, our test has proven to have construct validity as it positively correlates with social withdrawal. Besides that, our test seems to have face validity since our test items are similar with those of other valid tests like the MMPI-2, but with changes in the wording as to appreciate the term “introversion.” However, one of the limitations the assessment face if the lack of predictive validity. If we were to obtain predictive validity, we could require the test takers to participate in another testing session using the Five Factor Personality Inventory on a later date. Then, if the results of our test matches the results of the FFPI, our test would then have predictive validity. The other downside of our test is that it has a relatively low internal consistency. Using a split-half method, our Cronbach’s Alpha was a low 0.4. To obtain a higher internal consistency, we would need to further revise on our test items to remove items that does not seem to measure what it purports to
