Why Salva is a hero

People in the world will at some point face difficulties in their life and some individuals are there to support ones who can’t fight for themselves. Salva Dut sacrificed himself to be a hero to others, and he was an inspirational hero to a lot of people in Sudan, as mentioned in “A Long Walk to the Water and Just Add Water”. Sudan is an undeveloped country where people suffer from a lack of resources, especially water. Salva established a foundation called Water for Sudan, so he can help people who are struggling for lack of clean water. What made him a real hero were the characteristics that he has; good leadership, selflessness and a growth mindset.

One characteristic that makes Salva a hero is that he has good leadership. I think that a person with a good leadership is positive, listens to others, and tries his best to include everyone. During one of the constructions of the

He was always concerned more about other people than his problems and sacrificed himself for individuals who were struggling. Salva returned to Sudan because people in Sudan were in need of help, he built many wells so the people can have access to clean water. Salva knew that Sudanese drinking water was contaminated and would bring deadly diseases such as Cholera, Dysentery, and Cryptosporidiosis. Going to Sudan was a lot of work for him because it was dangerous and cost a massive amount of money, but he did not care because he felt it was more important to help them than stay in his comfort. When he got to the village, he was working every day building the well, so the people in Sudan can drink clean water and make schools, stores, and clinics. Drinking contaminated water will bring those people deadly diseases such as Cholera, Dysentery, and Cryptosporidiosis. Salva did not want people to die from these illnesses, so he has sacrificed himself to work all day to build the well for clean
