Leaders and bosses are words that give a huge impact in our life, especially in working environment. In an organizational chart, the highest position is the leader. But, is he or she is the leader or simply just a boss? When you hold the highest position, it does not mean that you will be automatically become the leader, because, there is a huge difference between a leader and a boss. As we all know, we have nearly 1.2million public servant serves the country. A leader is a person that will show and guide his or her staff to do things instead commanding them to do. Communication and attitude are among the reasons that contribute to poor leadership amongst nowadays leader.

Some people, they are working to please their boss to get early promotion or higher increment. But, is this the right attitude? The word “kissasser” is normal in certain organization especially in government service. People tend to please their boss to get something, but a leader will not fall for this. A leader will be able to differentiate his or her subordinates; the one that have honesty and commitment towards their job or the one that talk big zero impact. When you become the leader, the responsibility to lead others is highly depending on you. When you is the person that too proud when become at the higher position and less empathy, you will only be known as what your position have. After you retired from that position, no one will remember you. Leader should be creative either dealing with subordinates or even to complete any project. Need to think outside the box especially when providing guidance to make a quick decision during settling any project. Different people, have different ways of thinking. And a leader should not only able to accept this in mind, but in his or her heart also. People can say, we are different, but are those people able to accept it when arguing on something? A leader should be able to customize his or her approach in managing all staff difference because through these differences we will be able gets all the excellent ideas. When doing, any project or any task involving a group of people, the way the leader act or take actions to any mistakes also will effect subordinate’s commitment. For instance, when a subordinate makes a mistake in fulfilling his or her job, instead of yelling and blaming, the leader can teach and encourage the person to laugh at the mistakes, not crying on it. It helps to install a positive energy and by finding humour in the struggle, and the person able to learn something that he or she will remember for lifetime
