A pedophile is a male or female who is sexually attracted to children, most often children under 13 years of age. Unlike a child molester, a pedophile is determined by what they desire and their fantasies towards children in addition to their actions. Pedophiles tend to gain satisfaction exposing themselves to children, watching pornographic material about children, watching exposed children and even masturbating in front of children. Pedophiles are less likely to penetrate a child. There is no specific traits of a pedophile and that is because pedophiles can be anybody we come in contact with. Similar to specific traits there is not an age group either. A man in their late 20’s can be a pedophile the same way a man in their 60’s can. Each pedophile target a specific age group they prefer.
