People my age are represented in negative ways in the news because adults choose to judge our music, the way we dress, and there are examples of how people my age have changed the world. I feel like adults really criticize the music that people my age listen to currently. They say how it promotes violence, making us go out and do crazy things. Adults also tell us how it doesn’t make us want to do better with our lives and go out to help others. Lastly, they complain on how they can’t understand what rappers like mumble rappers are saying unlike how they are able to figure out what their rappers were saying. I had started school early, skipped seventh grade, and was ahead in math leaving me to be the youngest person in almost every social setting. Whether the answer was 12 or 15, it was almost always a surprise to people.…

Music plays a major role in influencing children and teenagers. If a teenager listens to a rapper or rappers who raps about nothing but guns, drugs, and money, that person listening to that artist and that kind of music will be influenced to get involved with violent acts such as using guns, and selling or using drugs. Rappers today that most of the young generation listens to are Chief Keef, and 21 Savage who promote lots of violence and firearm usage in their music which plays a major role in influencing the young generation to follow that kind of music. If we emphasize about the dangers about listening to too much of violent music, that will help reduce gang violence and influence young ones not to listen to too much violent…
