Improved Essays
“Leadership is not about titles, positions or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another.” John C. Maxwell. Leadership can often simply be focused on one's characteristics, or success but, leadership reaches beyond these things into how our actions affect others and how we positively influence our peers. As I consider myself a leader, I posses the leadership qualities of independence, being driven, confidentence, positivity, and hardworking.
First, as a leader I am independent. Growing up an only child independence is one of my strongest and most natural qualities of leadership. I pride myself in being able to handle tough situation alone, for example I was responsible this past October for running an event called Falcon Day when

This is another trait that comes naturally, for I like to get things done as soon as possible. I am driven when it comes to homework and assignments, and planning. For example, I complete assignments early, as opposed to waiting and I do not procrastinate when I plan events and have to prepare aspects for them. For the past two years I have planned and prepared our annual pageant held by the broadcast. I am diligent when preparing saches, ordering decorations, designing shirts, printing forms, and so on. I believe being driven and finishing tasks on time, influence my peers in a positive way that shows how much more easier things are, when they are done early.

I learned to break out of my shell in order to meet new people. I believe my confidence influences my peers to also break out of their normal and to not be

Being a hard worker was the biggest trait my family instilled in me. I am a hardworker in all aspects of my life. I learned the value of hard work, for myself, when I began school. Not that I was not smart as a child, but I noticed that it would take a little bit more hard work for me to get the grades that some of the other students got. For example when the really smart students at the top of my class, can sit back and ignore assignments until the due date, I know that it can take me longer, sometimes multiple tries, or even help from the teacher to receive the same grade they will get for five minutes of work. I believe being a hard worker influences my peers by showing thats its possible to obtain things that can be

Leadership is providing direction to a group of people that may be seeking or lacking greater information.
