As the television series begins, Jim obviously likes Pam, but she is in a relationship. Jim would go to Pam’s desk and get her to do simple task for him. Jim moves closer to Pam as the show continues by continually cracking Pam up with jokes and continually talking to her at her desk. Jim eventually gets his chance to be with Pam and he wins her over by his humorous personality. At Jim and Pam’s wedding, Jim admits to friends and family that he would get Pam to help him with things that he already knew how to do like driving a stick shift vehicle and make a photocopy.
