Understanding the INFJ Personality Type Sylvia Plath said it best when she remarked,” Can you understand? Someone, somewhere, can you understand me a little, love me a little? For all my despair, for all my ideals, for all that – I love life. But it is hard, and I have so much – so very much to learn.” I have always found analyzing human behavior complex and riveting. Understanding the way a person reacts to things or even what interests them never fails to spark my interest. The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment is a psychometric questionnaire that is designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. Upon taking the test myself, I received a four-letter result of INFJ that specifies different qualities in the category of my personality. The INFJ personality leans towards introversion (I), intuition (N), feeling (F), and judging (J). INFJ’s are differentiated by their complexity of character, and they are generally “doers” as well as dreamers.

Intuition is used to understand the goal and work backwards towards it. Feelers make their closest connections and friendship with those they feel they can really connect to on a deep level. Judgers are big picture seekers and enjoy systematic organization. Researching The Myers-Briggs INFJ Personality Type has helped me to opportunity to explore my mind and further understand who I am.
