Dog Potbelly Dog And A Hamster

Do you have pets? If so, what kind?

In my household, we have 4 dogs, a potbelly pig, and a hamster. My canines are a mixed group. We have a Golden Retriever and a Boxer that live in our fenced in backyard. We have a Miniature Dachshund and a Yorkie that live in the house with us. They have a doggie door for full-time access to the backyard at any time. I suppose the most interesting of the pets that we have is the potbelly pig, Petunia. Petunia became part of our family in November 2015 when my 17-year-old daughter went to the pet store for a “hamster” and came home with a tiny black 7-day old piglet. Having a pig for a pet is much like having a newborn. I would recommend it to anyone with teenagers, they are wonderful forms of birth control.

What is your favorite TV show, and why do you enjoy it?

The Walking Dead is by far my favorite TV show. I cannot wait until October when it returns. Our whole family watches the show. I like it because it is suspenseful. Every emotion is covered in the series. The thing I enjoy most about the show is that we watch it together as a family. We all have a favorite character or 5 and we can rationalize the situations as if we were going through it.

What was the best trip you ever took?

The best trip I have ever taken was actually in May of this year. My Mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer in January and was sent home on hospice. We knew we didn’t have much time and I encouraged her to make a bucket list of things for us to do before she passed. She had a very short list but in the number 1 spot was a trip to the beach. She said she wanted to see the ocean and feel the sand between her toes one more time. She wanted to go to the Joe’s Crab Shack and have a Category 5 Hurricane, too. I promised I would get her to the beach and we would certainly make sure she got that trip to Joe’s. She wanted to go when it was warmer so we booked the trip for May 8th - 14th, praying that the Lord would allow us to

According to researchers at Purdue University, scientist, “have found that they [pigs] crave affection and are easily depressed if isolated or denied playtime with each other” (Rifkin 18). According to the information above animals and humans are alike because we both crave affection from loved ones or just anyone in general. This also shows that animals and humans can both get depressed if they don't get the attention they need. The German government, “is encouraging pig farmers to give each pig twenty seconds of human contact each day and to provide them with toys to prevent them from fighting” (Rifkin 18). I visited Rome, Venice, and Florence, went to the beaches, ate lots of Italian food, and went June 18-25th so it would not be too hot or too cold. First, I had to figure out what all I needed for my trip to Italy, I discovered I had to get a passport to even enter the country.” Passports should have at least six months remaining validity beyond your departure date.…
