Being a human is one of the hardest things to comprehend. There are so many aspects of our lives that make us such as interesting species. Apart from the normal biological characteristics of humans, the most unique aspect of humans is our brains. We have the ability to think, make decisions, express emotions and problem solve. The brain, along with its mental capabilities, is one of the most complex parts of being a human being and is what makes us human. Our brain separates us from all other species and what makes us so unique. Humans are constantly changing their surrounding environment and trying to make improvements to society and their lives. The ability to feel and express empathy is one specific attribute that sets humans apart from other species. Empathy is the feeling that you understand and share another person 's experiences and emotions : the ability to share someone else 's feelings. In simple terms, empathy is putting yourself into someone else 's shoes. This is a key element that make us human. Humans can not only empathise with people they know but they can also empathize with people they don 't know. Many species have the ability to think but humans are able to think on another level. For example, dogs are able to express love for their owners and lions learn to protect their pride. Humans are able to understand emotions and feelings of not just themselves but others. In Mark Twain’s Huckleberry FInn the main character Huck struggles with who he wants to be as a human. Huck Finn is a great example of the power of empathy. The lives of humans are constantly evolving and changing. The key driving force behind all this change is humans natural desire to improve. Throughout the last 20 years humans have made huge strides in technological and medical advancements. Humans are always thinking of ways to make their daily lives easier and faster, and we are the only species to do so. Unlike other species that have been living their lives the same forever we are constantly changing. Humans have the desire to improve and the capability to problem solve. Together these two components set us apart from other species. With the amount of changes that have taken place recently it is a mystery what changes are to come. The movie Blade Runner depicts a futuristic dystopian society in Los Angeles. Although the movie is fictional, it is still scary. In the movie genetically engineered replicants live amongst Humans in California. The problem is the replicants are almost indistinguishable from humans. This is a possibility and scary event that could happen because of human 's desire to improve. Humans natural born desire to improve is what sets us apart from all other species but this desire is not always positive. In the movie the replicants were created by the Tyrell Corporation.
