The most important qualities of an outstanding educator There are many characteristics that are needed to be an educator at any capacity. There are certain characteristics that make an educator outstanding. When I think of an outstanding educator, I first think of someone who collaborates exceptionally with the other staff members. It is very important for teachers to work well with each other and be on the same page. A great educator also has an excellent rapport with the students. Typically the students love being in his or her classroom and look forward to coming back the next day. Another important trait is flexible.
