The Factors And Characteristics Of An Educated Person

Although there is no real definition of what defines an educated person, there are many factors that contribute to being an educated person and some characteristics of an educated person. We must take defining an educated person into our own hands because we are the ones who are seeking to be an educated person, so being an educated person is based on our values and what we believe is right. Education is what we make of it and so is life. Some of the factors that contribute to being an educated person are your socioeconomic status, any mental or physical disabilities, your health, your personality, and your willpower.

As described in the article On what it means to be An Educated Person, a balanced mind is one in which has a three-way balance between “A basis of humility, an approach of confidence and a manner of rigor”. Having a basis of humility creates that honest ground, and it allows the individual to be open to experiences and make them more willing to stand corrected. Allowing yourself to be wrong sometimes but always being able to comprehend what 's not understood and trying to understand it is why humiliation is part of what creates that balance mind. Having confidence is a way to take in that humiliation and not let it destroy you, confidence is what keeps people open to taking risks and throwing yourself at the difficult problems.
