Characteristics Of A Phronetic Leader

There are six different ways that a phronetic leader must possess to be a strong leader. These six attributes include being able to” judge goodness, grasp the essence, create shared contexts, communicate the essence, exercise political power, and foster practical wisdom in others.
The first of these abilities involves having the ability to judge goodness. So far in our class one of the biggest take a ways is that there are no two people alike and this is especially true for ethics. Each leader has a different set of ethics that the stand for, and their decision making results come from their individual ethics. One of the aspects that define what a phronetic leader is focusing on a decision that think about society. Together, a phronetic leader that shows the ability to focus on a decision that combines goodness the betterment of society is complete package. Within this ability of four aspects on how a leader can better practice judging goodness. The first of these methods comes from experiences especially those experiences of when someone falters. Another is something we did in week one and that write down your personal values and express them. This is one of the hardest tasks for a leader to accomplish because depending on the size of the company, there could be hundreds of thousands of people working for one company. The best way for a phronetic leader to perform this attribute is my leading my example. If you want others to follow in your footsteps then you must follow your values to a tee. If you consistently show your values everyday then a trickle-down effect will begin. Those around you will begin to start following you, then their employees will follow them, all the way down.
