What Qualities Does A Master Driver Have One of the greatest accomplishments in a teenager’s life is receiving their driver’s license. Obtaining a driver license gives a teenager freedom and a new found sense of independence because they are no longer at their parents’ mercy and can drive themselves to wherever they want without any restriction. However, becoming a skillful and master driver is so important, rather than just getting a driver 's license. A master driver is someone who is truly aware of the dangers associated with driving, and he or she knows how to handle them in an effective way. Every year, countless accidents occur by reckless drivers, which leads to many deaths. I believe everyone can become a master driver just by following …show more content…
Stop signs are important because they prevent drivers from going too fast in the residential areas. Always slow down when the light turns yellow, rather than speeding up. Furthermore, in the rainy weather always follow road slippery signs because they prevent skidding. In addition, anytime you come to a place where people may cross or enter your path or one line of traffic meets another, you should look to the left and right sides of your vehicle to make sure no one is coming. Always look to each side of your vehicle at intersections, crosswalks, and railroad crossings. When changing lanes, always look over your shoulder to make sure you are not getting in the way of vehicles in the lane you want to enter. I failed my driving test for the first time because I did not look over the shoulder when changing lane, the DMV instructor counted it as a critical error. These are only a few reasons that make a driver skilled and …show more content…
Most importantly, you should have total control of yourself, the vehicle and your immediate environment to ensure a safe and responsible driving habit. I believe everyone can become a skilled driver just by following the important safety rules. We also need to make sure that everyone follows the road laws because our safety depends on the way they drive. For example, we should always report drunk drivers as soon as we spot one on the road, and it will be beneficial for the masses. Always remember that a minute’s patience, or endurance with another road user can save a life. Some people think that driving faster than the normal speed limit will help them reach their destination on time, but they forget that it can also lead them to the death path, which is preventable by following all the safety signs, and posted speed limits on the roads. In my opinion, the government should start driving courses in schools, so the teenagers can be taught about the hazards about driving. These driving courses will be helpful for the prevention of carelessness and overconfidence in the teenagers, and they would be more attentive and respectful to the road safety laws when they’ll get their driver license. I have taken driver education classes online and I believe they really helped me to become a responsible

Eliminating cell phone usage while driving would decrease the insane amount of accidents that could be easily prevented as long as the driver is in full control of the vehicle. In conclusion, the use of handheld cell phones must be made illegal in order to diminish a lethal distraction, to eliminate an unnecessary burden, and to remind drivers that they must be in control of their cars at all times. If more states practiced this law, not only would current drivers be more responsible and cause less accidents, but also the future drivers would learn from their example. In the book Drunk Driving it says these devices analyze (bac) blood alcohol content and can prevent a vehicle from starting if the driver has consumed even a tiny amount of alcohol. Also these devices are good because it keeps them off the roads and keeps them out of harm 's way. I asked my one of my family members how is it to have this device installed in your truck he said “it sucks but it is good because it keeps me from driving drunk and from getting a ticket and going to jail.” Also the driver must breathe into the device before starting the vehicle and again while driving whenever the machine asks. Also in the book it said Judges in many states require drivers to install interlocks as part of their sentences, but (MADD) Mothers Against Drunk Driving wants it to be mandatory nationwide for even first-time offenders.” I agree with Madd because it will make these drunks think twice about what they did and it will keep them from driving drunk. Also critics say that “the interlocks are in accurate, easily fooled, and may be dangerous.” I disagree with this because i asked my family member again how accurate are these devices?…
