At first, it was had to find a connection to a discourse community but after reading the texts and the characteristics of one, I had couple ideas of one. One discourse community that I have been apart of would be my soccer team. I chose my soccer team because we all had the same goal which was to win the championships for our division which applies to the first characteristic.
