Terrorism has dated back thousands of years and there have been hundreds and if not thousands of terrorist organizations and each of those terrorist organizations has a leader at the top. An individual with a history of victimization is an attractive recruit because they have a tendency of wanting to be a part of something bigger than themselves. Victims are easily manipulated into believing certain things, which make them susceptible to religion driven terrorism. Religion can be an easy sell for someone struggling, especially when coming from a charismatic leader that has articulated their perverse religion in a manner that is attractive to the potential recruit. Once the leader has instilled their religious view within the potential recruit, the organization has gained a freedom fighter.
