Macbeth was scared to wipe the blood on the servants and frame them because he thought someone was going to catch him, whereas Lady Macbeth was not scared and went and did the job for him. This motivation is seen in today's society in many different situations as so many people of different ages are continuously looking for more power than what they already have. Shakespeare uses the technique, repetition in the quote “hark!”. When this quote is used in the duologue, it shows that Macbeth feels guilty and hesitant for killing the king. Shakespeare uses contrast in the quote “infirm of purpose! Give me the daggers”. When this is said we see Lady Macbeth’s motivation for power and she takes charge to get what she wants.
