Chris McCandless is a stubborn, careless, inconsiderate teenager acting on impulse. He could have had a nice life with his parents having money and him going to college and all but he decided to throw that all away. He may have thought he was doing the right thing for himself and making himself happy but look at where that got him. When he left his sanctuary to go off to Alaska, he took very little supplies to survive. Many people tried to help him throughout his journey and he seemed to either take advantage of them or ignore their offer. He should have never left his life behind him to go to Alaska.
