For many people, the search for a novel that merges a skillful plot structure that is organized and consistent that also provides a skillful character development can be endless. The meaning of plot structure is the literary element that describes the structure of a story showing the arrangements of events and actions within a story. And the meaning of character development is the process of creating a character with depth and personality. Some novels sometimes do not even have plot structure or character development. However, To Kill a Mockingbird shows character development and plot structure. By evaluating To Kill a Mockingbird with specific criteria such as the plot structure and character development, it becomes clear that Lee shows a range of different techniques to the reader creating a great novel to read and making To Kill a Mocking a worthy purchase.
