Being in the Iraq war was very difficult time for Rocky. He learned how to read people's minds to help him to figure out what others would do in a stressful war situation. Luckily, the RPG hit the Bradley tank in front of him and it did not explode. Instead, the RPG got stuck in the mud. They reversed both the Humvee and Bradley tank to get out of danger. He then noticed an enemy on a phone calling and reporting in on his position which would bring additional enemies to their location. He noticed that he didn’t have a gun so he fired warning shots above him, below him and to the side of him. The enemy just stood there and continued to talk on the phone. He was forced to shoot and kill him.
Shooting that man really affected Rocky. That was the worst thing he has done and it made him feel so horrible. It's not something that he wanted to do. He was worried about his salvation and people finding out that he shot a unarmed person. He had to do what his instincts told him to do.
After the war, Rocky came back home and attended college in Dallas, Texas. He always tries to do the right things and doesn’t like to talk about being in the Iraq war. Being in a war can be very cruel. It affects many soldier for the rest of their life. He is now able to relax, be safe, watch a movie, and play some video games. He can now sit back and have fun with
