“A change in behavior begins with a change in the heart,”-Unknown. In the novel the Wednesday Wars, by Gary D. Schmidt, a character named, Mrs. Bigio lothed a young girl named Mai Thi. Mrs. Bigio’s feelings toward the girl changed, when she saw other kids teasing Mai Thi because of where she was from. I think that this change was because Mrs Bigio probably felt a surge of giult and horror rushing through her when she realized how cruel she was being when she saw others being mean, and saw how much it hurt the girl. In the end of the chapter Mai Thi and Mrs. Bigio were comforted by each
